Director of Fire & Life Safety
Responsibilities: I am responsible to assure that University residents, faculty, staff, visitors, and property are protected from fires, and that medical emergencies are appropriately responded to. These goals are achieved through modern fire prevention methods, engineering, and public education. The staff members currently assigned to this division include Plan Checkers, Fire and Life Safety Inspectors, a Senior Fire Marshal, and support staff.

Credentials: 33 years with City of Poway, Department of Safety Services, 19 years of those years as Fire Division Chief; Masters and BA in Public Administration, San Diego State University (SDSU); Certificate in Fire Protection Administration, SDSU; AA in Fire Science, Palomar Community College; have been a licensed Paramedic.
